These Terms govern your access to and use of GreetApp, a personal celebration calendar for birthdays, namedays, anniversaries and public holidays, operated by FeliciaSoft SIA, registered in Latvia.

By using the Service in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

1.1 You must be at least 13 years of age to use GreetApp. If you are between 13 and 16 years of age, you confirm that you have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.

1.2 By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet the age requirements above and that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

1.3 We reserve the right to refuse access or terminate accounts if we have reason to believe the eligibility requirements have not been met.

2. Using GreetApp without an account

2.1 GreetApp works fully without creating an account. Your calendar events are stored on your device and never leave it unless you choose to sign in.

2.2 Signing in with Google or Apple is entirely optional and is only needed to back up your data and sync it across devices.

3. User accounts (optional)

3.1 — Creating an account

You may sign in through a supported provider (currently: Google on Android, Apple on iOS). By using a sign-in provider, you authorise us to receive and use the profile information made available by that provider in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

3.2 — Account responsibility

You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at hello (at) greetapp.eu if you suspect any unauthorised access.

3.3 — Account deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the App via Settings. Deletion is permanent and will result in the removal of your account and associated synced data, subject to any retention obligations described in our Privacy Policy.

4. The Service

4.1 — Description

GreetApp lets you track birthdays, anniversaries, namedays, public holidays and custom events in one calendar, receive reminder notifications ahead of each one, browse nameday and public holiday calendars for supported countries, import birthdays from your contacts or device calendar, and share a wish for any event using your device's own share options (e.g. WhatsApp, SMS, or any other messaging app you have installed). GreetApp does not compose or send messages on your behalf — sharing hands off to the messaging app you choose.

4.2 — Availability

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice for maintenance, updates, or other operational reasons.

4.3 — Updates

We may release updates to the App from time to time. Depending on your device settings, updates may be applied automatically. Continued use of the App following an update constitutes your acceptance of the updated Service.

4.4 — Offline use

Once your calendars are downloaded, GreetApp works fully offline. Signing in, syncing, and downloading new calendars require an internet connection.

5. Event data you add

5.1 You retain full ownership of the calendar events, names, and dates you add or import ("Event Data").

5.2 If you sign in to sync, you grant the Company a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and transmit your Event Data solely to the extent necessary to provide the sync feature to you. This licence ends when you delete the data or your account, subject to reasonable technical processing delays.

5.3 You are responsible for the accuracy of the Event Data you add, including any personal data about other people (such as a friend's birthday) that you choose to store in the App. By adding such data, you confirm you are entitled to do so.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You must not:

use automated tools, bots, scripts, or scrapers to access or interact with the Service without our prior written consent;
attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, its servers, or any systems connected to it;
interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App;
use the Service to collect or harvest personal data of other users without their explicit consent;
use the Service for any commercial purpose or for the benefit of any third party without our prior written approval;
circumvent any technical measures we use to provide or protect the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 — Our content

All elements of the Service other than your Event Data — including but not limited to the App design, logo, graphics, nameday and holiday calendar data, software, text, and underlying technology — are the exclusive property of the Company or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

7.2 — Restrictions

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, trade names, logos, or other brand features. You must not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or its content without our express written permission.

7.3 — Feedback

If you submit suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use and incorporate that feedback into the Service without any obligation to compensate you.

8. Third-Party Services and Links

8.1 The App supports sign-in via Google and Apple. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party providers.

8.2 The Service may contain links to external websites or services, such as Google Play. These links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over and accept no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

9.1 Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9.2 The Company processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 and applicable Latvian data protection law.

9.3 You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, as well as to object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello (at) greetapp.eu.

9.4 You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Latvian data protection supervisory authority, Datu valsts inspekcija (DVI), at www.dvi.gov.lv, or with the supervisory authority in your own EU member state of habitual residence.

10. Purchases (when available)

10.1 GreetApp is currently free to use in full. If we introduce optional paid features in the future, this section will be updated before they launch to describe pricing, billing terms, auto-renewal, your EU 14-day withdrawal right, and that purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, not directly by us.

10.2 Any features you already use for free will remain free — a future paid tier would only apply to genuinely new functionality introduced alongside it.

11. Disclaimers

11.1 The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11.2 We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free; that any errors or defects will be corrected; or that the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components.

11.3 Nameday and public holiday calendar data may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or fail to reflect recent official changes. We do not guarantee the accuracy of this data — see Section 12 of our Privacy Policy.

11.4 Reminder notifications are delivered on a best-effort basis; delivery timing depends on your device's own settings (e.g. battery optimisation) and is not guaranteed.

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service.

12.2 Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) EUR 50, or (b) the total amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, if the Service is free of charge, shall be EUR 0).

12.3 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Company and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your Event Data; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights.

14. Termination

14.1 You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

14.2 We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access to the Service, without prior notice or liability, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or acted in a way that harms other users or the Company.

14.3 Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 5.2, 7, 11, 12, 13, and 15 survive termination.

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

15.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Latvia, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

15.2 Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Latvia.

15.3 If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also be entitled to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform, available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

16. Changes to These Terms

16.1 We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App and/or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

16.2 The updated Terms will carry a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

16.3 If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account before the changes take effect.

17. General Provisions

17.1 — Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding your use of the Service.

17.2 — Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

17.3 — Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

17.4 — Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations freely.

17.5 — Language

These Terms are written in English. In the event of any conflict between translated versions, the English version shall prevail.
